Bull Day

BULL DAY – Sunday 19th March
There are numerous jobs to be done on the day, too long to list here, but to give you some idea here are some examples: cleaning tables and chairs in clubhouse, cleaning clubhouse floor, washing windows, shaking our curtains, cleaning gutters, cleaning and checking condition of some of the club boats- e.g. Toppers etc.), cleaning floor and windows of race start box, cleaning doors and floor of boat sheds, mowing grass, de-weeding and edging grass back on landing stage, cleaning rubbish from slipway, re-filling potholes on driveway etc. Because there are so many activities, we kindly request that all hands on deck, if you can spare the time.
It may be helpful if you are coming down to bring some clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, some protective gloves, pair of wellies, a bucket (or two), and some basic DIY tools. The reason for asking to bring these items along with you is because the club has limited number to offer.
We are hoping for fair weather for the day, so we can do as much as possible on the day.
The start of racing season will be the following weekend. First race, Saturday 25th March (Saturday General Handicap at 15:00 ) – make a note on your diaries!
