Sailors from novices through to capable club sailors are well catered for at the Club. Those wishing to learn can also join one of our RYA recognised training courses. The Club currently has fleets of Laser, GP14, Topper, Enterprise, Albacore, National Twelve, Comet, Solo, Lark; and welcomes other monohull dinghies without trapeze up to 4.6 metres in length. Bowsprits may not be deployed during Club racing sessions.

We run a full racing programme from late March until Boxing Day.

You are more than welcome to visit the Club to find out more. For any enquiries about membership of the Club please contact the membership secretary:

Membership Info

Our Club year runs 1st October  through to 30th September each year.

Our sailing season is end March through to Boxing Day each year.

Adult sailing membership is £125 per year. We discount this when joining during the sailing season.

To encourage couples and families we offer reduced membership rates for partners, and children over 12. There is no membership fee for children under 12.

There is a one off £25 entrance fee for joining the Club.

The Club has a few boats (RS Feva, GP14, Fusion, Comet, Laser Radial) that can be used by new members.

The Club also has a boat hire scheme for racing, so for example you can hire a Laser or Comet dinghy for a session.

The Club has organised sailing sessions on Saturday afternoons, and all day Sunday. In the spring and summer months we also have sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. A safety boat is always on the water during these sessions.

We hold a Juniors sailing and training session on Saturdays between spring and autumn from 12pm to 2pm. Juniors can achieve their RYA Youth Sailing certifications on these sessions. The Club provides boats and buoyancy aids for the juniors to use.

The Club is ran by the members for the members.

Members do approx. 3 duties a year, starting the following sailing season after joining.

Members tend to either own their own sailing dinghy or crew in a double-hander.

The Club has storage for dinghies, £25 per year, and road trailers, £10 per year.

The first Sunday afternoon of each month we hold an ‘go sailing’ session. This allows members to practice and get informal coaching in a relaxed environment.
